Caring Place offers rides throughout the community, and to/ from Caring Place. It is important to note that different drivers offer different opportunities. The guidelines below are presented for the safety, and respect of the drivers, and any passengers.

Cost: Free
Day: Thursday (Spiritual) Group, and Saturday
Calls are permitted: 10:00a-12:00p
Driver will notify you of pick-up time. You are expected to be ready to go when the driver arrives.
Day: Monday, Thursday, and Friday evenings
Calls are permitted: 10:00a – 5:30p
Driver will notify you of pick-up time. You are expected to be ready to go when the driver arrives.
Note: The driver reserves the right to refuse service or ask a passenger to exit the vehicle if deemed necessary. The passenger is responsible for following the guidelines provided above. Violation is subject to the disciplinary process located in the Caring Place Code of Conduct. Community Rides

$2 - Newton - In town (up to 5 miles)
$5 – Halstead, Walton, Hesston, or within a 5- 10-mile radius
$10 –Wichita, Peabody, or Marion, or within a 11- 30-mile radius
Cost is per ride. It is an additional $1 per stop. This must be discussed with the driver first and approved.
Days Available: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Drive Time Available: 8:30a- 12:30p
Restrictions
- Please provide the driver with no less than thirty minutes' notice.
- If rides are needed outside of Newton, please provide 72 hours' notice or longer.
- Rides are provided on a first come first served basis.
- The driver may already be on another route so please have patience.
Rules
- Driver may be unavailable to provide rides due to prior appointments, and scheduling. DO NOT rely on rides as an only option at the last minute, or to replace emergency services.
- If you call and do not receive an answer, please leave a message with a return phone number, and the driver will return your call as soon as they are available. DO NOT TEXT.
- All passenger seat belts MUST be worn at all times.
- Calling outside the time constraints can affect your ability to get a ride then and in the future.
- While you may bring food to/from, you are not permitted to eat, or drink in the vehicles.
- There is no smoking/ vaping/ chewing permitted inside the vehicle.
- While there is no dress code, genitalia must be covered at all times.
- You are expected to keep all parts of your body to yourself, and inside the vehicle always.
- There is no cursing, screaming, violent, or otherwise aggressive language permitted.
- No alcoholic beverages or illegal substances are permitted at all.
